Sebastian Auer has been with GASSER PARTNER Attorneys at Law since February 2017.
Sebastian Auer studied general law and commercial law at the University of Innsbruck and the distinguished King’s College in London (Master of Laws with specialism in European Competition Law). After completing his practical legal training at the District and Provincial Court of Innsbruck, he worked at a law firm in Austria from 2011 to 2017, in addition to extensive research activities in European, Austrian and British antitrust procedural law. In 2016, he was admitted as an attorney in Austria. The focal points of his work at GASSER PARTNER are commercial and corporate law, litigation and trust and foundation law.
What Sebastian Auer really enjoys about his work at GASSER PARTNER are the international aspects and complexity of the legal cases, which require extensive professional knowledge and flexible thinking in order to present well-founded legal solutions to clients quickly and efficiently. Markus Pinggera will join GASSER PARTNER Attorneys at Law as of July 2017.
Markus Pinggera studied in Innsbruck (Mag. iur.) and at the London School of Economics (LSE) (LL.M. in Banking & Finance), and simultaneously completed several international courses and summer schools (e.g. the European University Institute in Florence, St. Mary’s University Institute on World Legal Problems). He has extensive experience in commercial law consultancy for international clients. Over the past few years he worked as an attorney for the Austrian corporate law firm Binder Grösswang, before that at the Institute for Public Law of the University of Innsbruck and in the financial sector, among others. Since 2014, he has also taught as a university lecturer at MCI – Management Center Innsbruck.
Markus Pinggera’s main professional focus is European and public commercial law, with a particular emphasis on supervisory and competition-related issues. He is the author of numerous publications in this field.
For Markus Pinggera, the position at GASSER PARTNER will offer him the opportunity to apply and develop his commercial law expertise and experience in an international environment. “I am looking forward to this new and exciting task.”
Christina Preiner has been with GASSER PARTNER Attorneys at Law since March 2017.
Prior to that, Christina Preiner was a research associate at the Chair of Banking and Securities Law at the University of Liechtenstein. Thanks to her assistance in regulatory projects in Liechtenstein and as trainee at the European Financial Markets Authority ESMA she gained valuable experience in financial markets law. Christina Preiner obtained her master’s degree at the University of Vienna and graduated top of the class in the LL.M. program on banking and securities law at the University of Liechtenstein. She is currently doing a doctorate at the University of Zurich. She is an associated researcher at the University of Liechtenstein with a research and lecturing focus on financial markets law, fund law and corporate law and has co-authored a number of publications relevant to the field. Christina Preiner will further reinforce the excellent reputation of the firm in the field of banking and financial markets law. “GASSER PARTNER Attorneys at Law offers a spectrum of expertise that is unique for the region. Tina Ehrenzeller has been part of our team since May 2017.
Tina Ehrenzeller studied at the University of Zurich where, in addition to a Bachelor of Arts in English Linguistics and Literature, she also completed her Bachelor of Law und Master of Law. After graduation, she worked as an Associate in the White-Collar Crime and Compliance team of Schellenberg Wittmer AG in Zurich. After that, in preparation for the Swiss bar exam, she also worked as an external clerk for the District Court of St. Gallen, where she mainly dealt with criminal and family law cases. Before starting her job at GASSER PARTNER, she completed the Swiss bar exam in St. Gallen. “I am delighted to be working on exciting legal cases with international aspects in a motivated team, and to be able to develop on a professional and personal level.”
